Today I have another fairly simple project to enhance your outdoor entertaining, particularly for little ones who like a little whimsy. This tulle tent was originally created for JoAnn summer trends look book, and I’m excited to share a few extra pictures with you. If you don’t mind wrestling tulle, you can put together this fun project in just a short amount of time.
Basically, you cut your long pieces of tulle and then scrunch them around a wreath form that can be hung up in a tree or other high peak.
I sewed the tulle around the wreath, but you could hot glue it for a no-sew project! Whatever you prefer. I’ve included a photo of the top of the tent above so you can picture how it’s done. I provided full tulle tent instructions on the JoAnn website.
I used approximately 20 yards of tulle for this project – if you can get your tulle on sale for 50 cents a yard or so, it really makes it an inexpensive project.
I think the hanging tulle tent makes the perfect little defined space for a girly tea party, but I also discovered that the soft, flowy tulle gives a gorgeous glow and backdrop to photos.
These girls had an absolute blast playing under the oak tree after I finished with everything for the project. I wish I could leave this thing set up all year long!
Do you think hanging a tulle tent in your yard would go over well? What would put under the canopy?

That is darling! I love the photos of your girls in it. I have a spot that might work for something like this, but I’m hoping to add hedges or something around our property first, so they will stop gaping at us whenever we are outside.
