Bubble Shorts, Cotton Candy, and a GIVEAWAY!!
You are in for a real treat today! Not only do you get to see adorable pictures of my cutie pie eating cotton candy in her newest outfit, I also have a great giveaway for you!! Girl. Inspired. is the next stop on the Peek-a-Boo Pattern Shop blog tour! When Amy, behind the blog Nap Time Crafters and owner of the Peek-a-Boo Pattern Shop, invited me to be part of her pattern blog tour, I was more than excited to review another of her patterns. I had such a wonderful experience using her Santa Monica Sweetheart Tankini pattern (going on sale tomorrow, by the way) to make Addison’s birthday swimsuit and I was anxious to try out the Bubble Shorts pattern next. Peek-a-Boo Pattern Shop is easy to navigate with a simple checkout process and immediate pattern downloading AND I think Amy must be working around the clock because she has piles of new patterns in the shop every time I turn around.
I found the Bubble Shorts to be another great pattern. The instructions were clear and variations to the pattern are well-explained. I chose to make a wider cuff at the bottom of the shorts for a knickers look. LOVE how these turned out. I actually made them from another of my husband’s old work shirts – just cut the pattern pieces right out of the shirt. The detail stitching and cute little gathered side pockets really give the shorts a professional finish and the fit was perfect!! As you can see, Addison had an absolute blast strutting around in her new shorts and sporting a big puff of cotton candy. Want to treat your little one? TODAY ONLY, the Bubble Shorts pattern is ON SALE for just $5!! So, snatch it up! Cotton candy not included…sorry.
For more opportunities to win a pattern 3-pack and to see what other bloggers have done with the other patterns in the Peek-a-Boo Pattern Shop, check out the links below:
Alrighty! Don’t forget to head over to Peek-a-Boo Pattern Shop and get the Bubble Shorts pattern on sale! And leave a comment here to be entered in the giveaway!!

Those bubble shorts are so cute. And you mentioning that you used an old work shirt made me picture using the cuffs from the shirt as a cute detail to the legs if the little girl having them made for her had suitably small thighs! It would be just too cute!
Terri Sue says
The Bubble Shorts are adorable. I really like the wider cuffs you used. I had a delightful time looking over all of the patterns at the Peek-A-Boo Shop. Thanks for the chance.

Now that I think of it, I saw similar shorts a while back, I don’t even remember where. I thought they were the cutest thing ever and because of these shorts, I started sewing! The sad thing is, I havent made them yet, I didn’t consider myself experienced enough to take on the project. But now I think I’m ready! I would love to win this prize, I will definitely pick my inspiration shorts!
