Dear Addison,
I’ve heard people suggest that the baby in the family gets the short end of the stick, sometimes. And I’m sure that you will feel you can relate to this at some point in your life. I must confess that I did not make your birthday invitations this year. I didn’t even get it together enough to send out an evite. I forgot to set out the potato chips at the party and I didn’t put your hat on your cute little head until after your candle was blown out. But I did make your party dress. And since it was my first “from-scratch” clothing project ever, I think it’s pretty special. And I hope you do, too.
By the way, you are gorgeous, and most of all . . . special.
Love,
Mom

I can’t decide what’s cuter – your model or all those ruffles. The two together are absolutely perfect!

Hi Stef,
First of all, your daughter is absolutely adorable!! What a cutie!! 🙂
Secondly, that dress is fantastic…really beautiful!! I LOVE all the material choices. If my daughters were still little and that dress was for sell in a store, I would definitely buy it. It’s really very impressive!!
Thanks for stopping by again! So, the question was where could you find a crate like mine? Well, I got mine in an antique store in Visalia, CA, called Grandma’s Attic. I think you would have a good chance of finding an old crate like that at any good antiques shop, though. Have fun on your treasure hunt!!
Have a great day! ~ Jo 🙂
P.S. I’m a follower now. I may not be able to sew, and I’m not a great cook either, but I love seeing all of your wonderful creations!! 🙂

please feel free to delete this comment after you read it, if you want! lol
you can find borax in the laundry section of your grocery store..near the “oxy” powder you add to each load..laundry boosters etc. i actually bought mine at wal-mart..you only use a tiny amount..but it is the key ingredient…use the rest of the box for laundry or scrubbing your bathtub!
thanks for dropping by and leaving you kind comments!
