Notes
Notes:The cream cheese should be softened to room temperature so that it beats into the sour cream smoothly. You can use pre-packaged ham or purchase ham by the pound from the deli. I liked the honey ham for contrast with the sourness of the pickles. You can vary the amount of ham and pickles. The amounts listed here were a good balance, but there are enough creamy ingredients that you could add even more ham and chopped pickles or add in some chopped bell peppers too.2 sliced green onions - use the green parts only - makes about 2 heaping tablespoons of onion slices. You could substitute very finely chopped red onion for the green onion.
