Cinnamon apple granola is the perfect recipe when you want a healthy snack filled with fall flavors. It's ready in less than 1 hour and tastes better than what you would find at the grocery store.
1cupchopped walnutsor pecans, almonds, pepitas, etc.
¼teaspoonground nutmeg
¾teaspoonground cinnamon
2teaspoonsvanilla extract
⅓cupcanola oil
2tablespoonshoney
½teaspoonsalt
½cuplight brown sugar
½cupapplesauce
1cupdried appleschopped
1cuppeanut butter chips
1cupyogurt raisins
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a 9x13 baking dish with parchment paper and set aside.
Mix together whole oats, walnuts, and any other nuts or seeds you’d like to add.
In a small bowl, mix together nutmeg, cinnamon, vanilla, oil, honey, salt, brown sugar, and applesauce. Stir to combine.
Combine oat mixture and wet mixture. Stir well to distribute ingredients evenly.
Spread into prepared pan. Bake for 30-40 minutes, stirring gently every 10 minutes.
Granola is ready when it has dried out and turns golden brown. Watch that you do not burn the granola.
Allow granola to cool completely. Toss gently with the apples, peanut butter chips, and yogurt raisins.

Storage: Store in an airtight container up to 2 weeks.Notes:If desired, use a sheet pan. It will cook quicker when it's pressed in an even layer. We like the baking dish so we can mix directly without using more bowls. The brown sugar and honey are used as a sweetener. Maple syrup/white sugar can be used in their place. Adjust the amounts as desired. Any dried fruits, nuts, spices, and add-ins can be used in granola. They are adjustable and optional.
