It’s our last weekend before school starts up. We’ve got some day plans with water, dirt, and lemonade. And some evening plans with my new pile of Sarah Jane goodies.
I haven’t embroidered in twenty-something years. Not since I thought a pillowcase with an embroidered rose-laden keyboard was a good idea.
I think my inspiration is quite a bit better this time around.
What sorts of fun are you having this weekend?

What a darling pattern to embroider! I am hoping to do a little of that this winter:). We are having fun with puppies, spending time with Great Grandma, and canning apricot jam this weekend.

Hand embroidery takes some time, but it’s straightforward once you know just a few stitches. I don’t know of any books, but I would recommend searching youtube for hand embroidery or the specific stitch names. On the Sarah Jane embroidery patterns, she shows some of the stitches and their names, so you can search for those. A couple videos later, you should be ready to go! Have fun!

Hi – I bought an embroider pattern from Sarah Jane and some of the yardage. I sew but don’t know how to hand embroider. Do you have any suggestions for a good book so I can learn? Thanks!

So cute! I kind of want to learn to embroider now. I’m digging that pinwheel fabric I can’t wait to see what kind of cuteness you make with it. Hope you enjoy the last few days of summer vacation with your girlies.
