Strawberry Cinnamon Rolls

Ingredients needed

– 1 lb. frozen bread dough thawed – 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon – 2 teaspoons granulated sugar – 1 – 21 oz. can strawberry pie filling – ½ cup heavy cream FROSTING INGREDIENTS – 1 ½ cups powdered sugar – ⅛ cup heavy cream – 4 oz. cream cheese softened – 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice

CINNAMON ROLL INGREDIENTS

Use a rolling pin to roll thawed dough onto a lightly floured cutting board or floured piece of parchment paper to form a 12×18 rectangle.

Step 1:

Use a spatula to spread the strawberry pie filling over the dough. In a small bowl, mix together the cinnamon and sugar.

Step 2:

Sprinkle the cinnamon/sugar over the top of the pie filling.

Step 3:

Roll the dough up tightly into a log.

Step 4:

Slice the log into 12 – 1 1/2 -inch wide pieces.

Step 5:

Place the cinnamon rolls in a lightly greased 9×13 baking dish, leaving equal space between all of the rolls.

Step 6:

Cover with a light towel and place in a warm, draft-free location.  Leave to rise for 1 – 1 ½ hours, until puffy.

Step 7:

Pour the heavy cream over the strawberry cinnamon rolls. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until the rolls are golden brown and cooked through.

Step 8:

Beat or stir together frosting ingredients.

Step 9:

Spread the cream cheese frosting over each warm strawberry cinnamon roll.

Step 10:

Serve these gooey strawberries and cream cinnamon rolls warm out of the oven! Garnish with a few fresh berries if you’d like.
