Here is some Friday cheer for you. I don’t generally like hydrangeas in my own garden seeing as how they hang onto the dried up flowers for so long and riddle me with keep-up guilt. But, I stuck a couple in my empty front flower bed (empty, as in dirt) just before hosting my beautiful cousin’s bridal shower a few years ago. It was a desperate attempt to make the house look like we had actually moved in and I was looking for some temporary filler. I couldn’t be more thrilled that my temporary filler has earned a permanent place in the garden. It produces these substantial blooms throughout the summer and into the fall. No, I won’t be ripping these plants out – they are my absolute favorite. I love their creamy white and fresh green and the blooms are so huge. Unfortunately, I didn’t read the label on the container and I have no idea what their variety might be. Nevertheless, I have major love for them. On my mantle, above my stove, and in my bathroom.

Oh how beautiful!! :o) I was so afraid that last winter’s cold killed mine off, but lo and behold, they bushed back out. Seriously, I was surprised. :o)
How fun … a give a way!! :o) Did you see your picture on Sew Picture Perfect? I just adored that post! Would love to create something in my size, like that! :o)
Have a great weekend and thanks for the encouraging words on my new endeavor. It is a bit intimidating, and knowing me, it will take more than a day too. :o)
Sincerely ~ Tricia

I love them too. When I was little I used to think of them as “old lady flowers” LOL! Now I adore them, especially white ones! And pink 🙂 Happy New Friend Friday

I love hydrangeas! This is a special kind of variety, they’re not shaped like balls but more like cones. And the name totally eludes me right now, but gorgeous!

I would love to add this variety of hydranges to my garden, but I haven’t seen anything like them in the local nurseries.

I LOVE hydrangeas! I just had a bridal shower at my house and my sweet neighbor was helping me set up for it. She ran home and snipped some off of her bush for the shower. I love them!
