Sooooooo….it’s been a little quiet around here, I know. Our February round of colds hit the house this week, which means these hands have been doing a lot of baby holding and not so much typing! Fortunately, I was able to get in a tiny bit of craftin’ time!
To make the bows, we melted a handful of red candy coating pieces in a plastic baggy, taped the corner, and snipped a tiny hole. Working right on the kitty pops, we piped two hearts meeting at the points, and then popped on the mini-M&M. I think it was the perfect stand-in for the candy hearts. I did a little step-by-step on a piece of paper for you so you can see what I’m talkin’ about:
Aw, these pops are so cute! The girls are really getting into this Cake Pop thing. The other day when they were leaving for the gym with their daddy, Olivia said to me, “Mom, since we’ll be gone, you could just sew or something, OR, can you make some of those pop things for us, pleeeeeeeease?”
Oh, which ones to make next? I think we’re giving out cake pops for our Valentines this year!

So cute! I’ve actually been looking for a good Hello Kitty cake pop tutorial, so thank you for sharing. We are going to a Hello Kitty birthday party this Saturday and I hate showing up empty handed.
