These candy ice cream cones were a bit less messy and withstood a good amount of running and playing outside while in hand. And they’re just so cute! I love the “spilled” cone amongst the others. The girls kept alerting me that one had spilled; they just couldn’t understand that I had “spilled” it on purpose.
I didn’t have all of the suggested supplies on hand, so I substituted heart sprinkles and jelly beans for the pretty regular sprinkles and peanut m&m’s. I also didn’t have a nice light pink candy coating, so I tried to pink up my red with some white – instead of pink, I got kind of a milky marbelized red ice cream “flavor,” which I didn’t love as much as the original. good to know – candy coating colors don’t mix well. but, mmmmm…they sure were yummy! I’m looking forward to another excuse to try some more Cake Pops.

I really love the swirly effect. Until I read the part about colors not mixing I thought that you did it on purpose! I was going to write and ask you where you got swirly candy melts! haha! I just love this – you did an great job!
