Have you seen this ribbon around recently? I’ve found a few varieties and I just really wouldn’t mind having a pile of it in every color and style. Especially now that I’ve come up with a use for it.
Inspired by a darling little dress I spotted in Carmel, I started working on Addie’s birthday dress for the upcoming celebration. I stitched down the flower ribbon in rows prior to sewing the main and lining pieces of the bodice together. I really like how it turned out. I wish I could tell you the manufacturer of the ribbon I used on the dres, but I didn’t pay attention to the spool when I purchased it. I believe that Making Memories is the manufacturer of the cream and the pink one in the top picture. I’m going to have to hunt down some more . . .
I still have finishing detail to do on the dress like serging and hemming and topstitching, but that’s not as much fun… what are you working on?

Darn! I just saw that ribbon in my Walmart’s craft section. I had the pink ribbon in my hand, but wasn’t sure what to do with it so I put it back. I also saw the white and cream ribbon there. I guess I’m heading back to Walmart.

So love that dress, that when I spied some flower ribbon at our local Hobby Lobby today, I just had to buy some. They had some gorgeous colors, but I opted of course for some baby girl pink.
