Burlap Table Numbers

Burlap Table Numbers

One more Cricut Design Space™ Star Challenge project!  These Burlap Table Numbers make me so happy.  I don’t exactly have wedding tables to set up, but if I did….I think these would be so great!  It took me FOREVER to make square little table numbers for my own wedding using my home printer back in the day – what if there had been such a thing as Cricut Explore??!?!!  I whipped up these puppies in no time and they look so rustic, yet formal!

I created a frame shape in Photoshop, which I then uploaded to Cricut Design Space.  Then, I cut two sizes that would nest together – one from paper-backed burlap (in paper section at Jo-Ann) and one from chalkboard paper (also at Jo-Ann).

Then, I popped a bronze metallic Cricut marking pen into the slot on the Explore machine and used Design Space to create a text layer that would center in the frame shape.  The machine wrote out “Table 1” and “Table 2” without a hitch.  Then, I just hot glued the layers together and popped them on a skewer to stick into my table centerpieces!

I resized the frame even larger and, with the 24″ cutting mat and 24″ sheet of burlap “paper,” I was able to cut place mats as well.  These are nice for a formal occasion, but totally great for everyday use, too!

So cute! I love that the pen has a thick stroke – seems a lot thicker than the Silhouette’s pens…
