It was a beautiful day for a tea party under our oak tree. Summer arrived just in time with her warm sunshine and light breeze. Everything was just how I pictured and the girls were so happy, lost in the wonder of sweet treats, pretty tea cups, and each other’s giggles.
Since I’ve had no training on how to really operate a camera, I took about a thousand pictures, but never felt that I had really captured the magic of what was in front of me. I’m pretty well practiced with indoor pictures, but the whole -sunlight filtering through the tree branches- really threw me for a loop this time. Nevertheless, I have a lot to share and I’ll try to organize and document over the next few days. I thought that a nice intro would be just a few shots that I edited with a photoshop action called Johnna’s Tea Party. Will that be fun? I’m new to ‘actions’ but I think I like them! This action seems to do well with my overexposed shots; it also blends the bright sun streaks and the dark shadows.
The more I look at these pictures, the more I see the magic, actually…
And I promise to share that frosting recipe real soon!
